| We first published The Mie Times in April, 1994 in an attempt to exchange
information and culture between local and foreign residents living in Mie
Prefecture. We were overwhelmed by the unexpected response from our first
issue consisting of three pages and received much encouragement and promises
for assistance. TMT has developed into a useful 16-page newspaper with
a network of twenty six dedicated volunteers of editors, reporters, and
translators. TMT is published on the first of February, April, June, August,
October and December. |
