Inumodori Valley (Ohuchiyama, Taiki-cho )

Beauty of Secrecy

The terrain along the Ouchi River is full of steep hidden valleys and rich forestry districts. The name Inumodori came about because it was thought that dogs stopped to behold the beauty of the steep valleys and deep forests.

As this name suggests, this area preserves a gorgeous nature and presents you nice trekking courses in early May, where new shoots and azalea flowers blossom, followed by a colorful foliage season in Autumn.

Steep cliffs and valleys

Just a short distance from the parking site reveals the deep valley. Here is the tributary flowing to Ohuchi River called the Valley of Nakanomata River. From this spot weaves the climbing valley known as Inumodori.
